NoticeLinks
Nofollow on Internal Links: How to Fix It
Links to your own pages use rel="nofollow".
Quick fix: Remove rel="nofollow" from links to your own pages so link authority flows through your site.
Why it matters for SEO
Nofollow tells Google not to pass authority through the link, so your own pages lose internal link value.
How to fix it
- 1Remove rel="nofollow" from internal links.
- 2Use noindex on pages you want hidden, rather than nofollow links.
- 3Keep nofollow or sponsored only for paid or untrusted outbound links.
Frequently asked questions
Should login and cart links be nofollow?
It is not needed. Block those pages with noindex or robots.txt instead.
Is nofollow sculpting still useful?
No. Google stopped rewarding PageRank sculpting many years ago.
